OCC Offers Advice to Banks
Affected by Hurricane Isabel |
 |
 |
 |
 |
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency is advising national
banks that were affected by Hurricane Isabel to use various alternatives
to help recover. Some of these suggested alternatives include
extending the terms of loan repayments, restructuring a borrower’s
debt obligations, and even temporarily closing offices that were
affected by the storm. These alternatives are aimed at helping
the bank, the customers and the community. Any banks in need
of assistance are advised to contact the OCC.
